What Is HER Coach?

H E R Coach

Healing ● The definition of healing is the process of making or becoming sound or healthy again.
Your story into motherhood is important because regardless, you need time to heal on all levels of wellness. Pregnancy changes our body which requires a different approach when we talk exercise. Birth is a trauma that requires a different approach postpartum. Pregnancy, birth and your transition into motherhood is a journey. HER Coach wants to help athletes embrace these chapters and give you functional and practical exercise guidance moving forward.
Empowerment ● HER Coach will strive for you to feel empowered to trust your body and embrace the unknowable during pregnancy and after.
Empowered to know you have resources and a team on your side. Whatever your story might look like, empowered to be and do exactly what you need in this moment. HER Coach wants to help deliver the exercise tools and guidance that you can trust for each stage of the adventure. To work with you to make sure you feel empowered not only inside the gym, but outside too. Motherhood doesn’t discriminate and postpartum is forever.
Rehabilitation ● Our bodies need time to heal and to heal requires rehabilitation.
Carrying and birthing a child places changing structural and physiological demands on a persons body. Our bodies need time to heal and to heal requires rehabilitation. You are worth giving space and time to re-connect and re-focus. HER Coach will help guide your prehab athleticism during pregnancy and your rehabilitation postpartum.

Meet HER Coach

Welcome to HER Coach! My name’s Tiffanie Bruneau!
A Little About Me

I am a pregnancy and postpartum athleticism coach here in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I started HER Coach in 2019 as I felt there was a major gap in the knowledge, and know how about exercise during pregnancy and returning to exercise postpartum. I graduated from the University of Winnipeg with my Bachelors in Kinesiology and Applied Health in 2015 and have been coaching as a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer since 2013. I went on to pursue a career as an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner and received my DOMP, Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice in 2017. Throughout the years, I have taken numerous additional courses, seminars and workshops both in the fields of health, fitness and osteopathy.

My Goal for HER Coach

My goal for HER Coach is to be a beacon of light and direction during a time that can already be overwhelming when becoming a mother, whether thats for the first or consecutive time. Having to do your own research about exercise and wonder whether you are moving correctly, if a movement is appropriate during your stage of pregnancy or recovery or when something just doesn’t feel quite right is where HER Coach comes in.
