What Is HER Coach?
HER Coach is a combination of group classes, personal training & one-off consultations.
Healing • Empowerment • Resilience
The HER philosophy and program will guide you through your athleticism during these next phases in your life. HER Coach is designed to break down the barriers around exercise, during pregnancy and postpartum. Mindset is a huge part of the reason this program exists. It’s learning about the why’s and talking about the how’s.
Meet HER Coach
A Little About Tiffanie Bruneau
I am a pregnancy and postpartum athleticism coach here in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I started HER Coach in 2019 as I felt there was a major gap in the knowledge, and know how about exercise during pregnancy and returning to exercise postpartum. I graduated from the University of Winnipeg with my Bachelors in Kinesiology and Applied Health in 2015 and have been coaching as a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer since 2013. I went on to pursue a career as an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner and received my DOMP, Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice in 2017. Throughout the years, I have taken numerous additional courses, seminars and workshops both in the fields of health, fitness and osteopathy.
My Goal for HER Coach
My goal for HER Coach is to be a beacon of light and direction during a time that can already be overwhelming when becoming a mother, whether thats for the first or consecutive time. Having to do your own research about exercise and wonder whether you are moving correctly, if a movement is appropriate during your stage of pregnancy or recovery or when something just doesn’t feel quite right is where HER Coach comes in.

Group Classes
Group classes are a strength & conditioning exercise program designed specifically for those thinking about becoming pregnant, those that are pregnant and those postpartum. The class runs continuously which means you can jump in at any time.
Current Class Offer:
Time: Tuesday and Thursdays at 10:30am
Location: Norak CrossFit; 51 Heaton Ave., Winnipeg MB.
Date: Anytime.
Note: Please email me to set yourself up for a class. Walk-ins will not be able to participate in class. Communication with me & getting properly set-up for class ensures that you are prepared to jump in with the others. This also allows me to continue with flexible start-up dates for everyone & continue the quality coaching that I pride for with this program.
If you aren’t sure how to proceed, please email me hercoachwpg@gmail.com with your questions. This will help us make sure you are prepared to come to a class.
Consultations/Personal Training
Consultations/Personal Training are one-on-one sessions where we dive into the whys & hows, regarding exercise during pregnancy and postpartum. Why it’s important to understand the changes and adjustments you will make in training and exercise when you go on to have a baby and recovering after birth.
During these sessions you can expect:
- Education
- Pressure management education & assessment
- Movement screen/assessment
- Discussion of goals
- Questions being answered
- Honesty
Online Personal Training - NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE
If group classes won’t work for you, I offer online personal training. These are flexible situations where we decide what will work best for you. This might mean a few in-person sessions to get you started & then programming delivered via TrueCoach App that you can complete either at home, during Norak CrossFit’s open gym (with a Norak open gym membership), or where-ever else you choose to exercise. I am here for you, just remotely!
Note: In-person sessions aren’t mandatory, however it’s always best to book a discovery call and we can figure out the best way to get started.
Currently online personal training is not available. If this is something you are looking for please email me and I can help direct you to other trainers who may be able to help you with this.
Prices are variable, please email hercoachwpg@gmail.com
Discovery calls are free 20 minute phone or video calls.

I look forward to being your coach during your pregnant and postpartum journey!
Why are HER Coach classes different?
- We want you to continue moving in the way that feels best for you during these chapters into parenthood
- We want you to understand WHY you are modifying or adjusting your exercise.
- We want you to know HOW to modify or adjust your exercise.
- Having a coach helps you stay accountable.
- Coached group classes give you a community to feel a part of.
Why do I need a coach?
- If you are very unfamiliar with WHY you would want to change up the way you exercise during pregnancy, or postpartum, a coach can help with that.
- If you don’t know HOW to adjust your exercise or WHEN to adjust your exercise, a coach can help with that.
- If you struggle with exercise in general because you don’t know what to do. A coach can help with that.
- Coming into class breaks down the barrier of what to do, how to adjust, or when. The coach in class can help with that.
- Having personalized training programmed for you, eliminates this same barrier as above. Just remotely.
The HER Philosophy
Healing – The definition of healing is the process of making or becoming sound or healthy again.
Pregnancy is not something that is unhealthy, however it is a major event in an individual’s life. Society expects a lot from those that birth babies and I want to emphasize how important it is to continue on your healing journey always. In terms of exercise, there is a time when rest & recovery is just as important as moving & exercising. We are your guide for the when’s, why’s and how’s.
Empowerment – is the degree of autonomy and self-determination in people and in communities.
We will strive for you to feel empowered to trust your body and embrace the unknowable when you are exercising during conception, pregnancy & postpartum. We want you to feel empowered to know you have resources and a team on your side. Whatever your story might look like, be empowered to be and do exactly what you need in this moment. HER Coach wants to help deliver the exercise tools and guidance that you can trust for each stage of the adventure. To work with you to make sure you feel empowered not only inside the gym, but outside too. Motherhood doesn’t discriminate and postpartum is forever.
Resilience – able to withstand or recover quickly after something difficult. Carrying, delivering and then caring for another human is an incredible feat! As common as it is, it’s not a particularly easy thing to do. Let’s add physical activity and exercise to the mix, and it’s a world of conflicting advice, opinions and judgements.
I choose the word resilient because it’s a word of strength. It’s a word that I want you to be able to use when you look back at these days. I want you to be able to see that you navigated these chapters, while continuing to participate in something you loved without fear or worry. That you had the support & guidance that you needed during your journey to parenthood, when it comes to moving and taking care of your body, mind and soul.
